The first step of the recruitment process is to complete a short situational reasoning test (SRT), which is designed to assess your judgement in work-relevant situations. It measures key attributes viewed as essential to successful performance within the role and focuses on appropriate behaviours when carrying out the role. It does not require specific knowledge or experience from other driving roles.
You will be asked to respond to a series of questions based on situations that you might encounter in the role. These scenarios are designed to be realistic, based on the real-life experiences of our Drivers.
The test has 9 questions in total and should take around 10 minutes to complete. For each question you should review the scenario and select the one most appropriate action and the one least appropriate action that you would take in response to the situation.
Once you have completed all 9 questions you will be asked for some basic personal details to complete your application.
We recognise that to facilitate all individuals to compete on equal terms, some people may have additional requirements. We'll do everything we can to support you during your application, so if you believe that you will need any adjustments to enable you to complete your application, please email resourcing@brake.co.uk
