An opportunity to work within the Transport Team as a Distribution Shift Manager in our Brakes Depot in Thetford on a permanent basis!

We are looking for a colleague with a Transport focused career background who can step up and support the Distribution Manager to lead and motivate our driver colleagues.
You’ll be involved in a wide variety of tasks from HR, keeping a well-rounded approach to employment related issues to ensuring our drivers are taking regular breaks to keep within the working time directive to using your local area knowledge should a drop need rerouting with support from our planners. The position will be customer facing both internal and external we need someone with an ability to resolve any issues to ensure our reliable reputation is maintained.
To join us in this role, you need to be keen and willing to take accountability of our fleet and workforce. Knowledge from CPC is preferred along with a strong understanding of transport compliance reinforcing the importance of getting the job done timely and safely. This is a varied opportunity where you will be not only be ensuring all costs are in line with the budgetary requirements but also acting as the lead person in creating the correct environment for our colleagues. Leading by example you’ll set and maintaining standards in service, health, safety, and compliance.
